• Overview

Program:

The tour starts with a drive out of the city center towards Cu Chi. You’ll visit the legendary underground tunnels and get an insight into the brutal nature of the guerrilla warfare during the two Indochina wars by having a guided walking tour in the tunnel site. Along the way you may access certain parts of the tunnels to crawl around inside in the enveloping darkness to get a feel for what the word “claustrophobia” really means. Once you’ve had enough tunnels for one day, it’s time to head back to the city.

Next is a short walk through a local park to reach the Cathedral Square where you’ll see two significant pieces of French architecture built around the end of the 19th century: the Notre Dame Basilica and the Central Post Office building. Today both buildings have become a favorite backdrop for wedding photography. To continue, visit the lacquerware center where you can see the entire process of lacquer working to make a piece of art.
