Day 1
HCM City - Can Tho (L)
Get ready for your expedition into the Mekong Delta! Often called the "the rice bowl of Vietnam", it is the country's most fertile area and the primary producer of both rice and tropical fruits.
You’ll join your guide and private vehicle to drive south to the riverfront town of Cai Be. There you’ll board the motorboat to visit a beautiful traditional home and indulge in the local delicacies and see the thriving cottage industries there. You’ll get an intimate understanding of how the locals there live day to day.. Next you’ll take a motorboat across the river, going through canals with villages on both sides. You’ll arrive later in Vinh Long and finally take a road trip to Can Tho where you’ll spend the night.
Day 2
Can Tho - Chau Doc(B/L)
You’ll be roused early for the exciting boat trip to the renowned Cai Rang floating market. In the market, you’ll get to cruise through a veritable labyrinth of hundreds of merchant boats. Your boat will snake around other vessels overloaded with produce from the farms and the orchards from all over the neighboring community. This casually chaotic area is the perfect scene for photos with the locals!
You’ll continue onward to the border town of Chau Doc that is perched on the bank of the large branch of the mighty Mekong River. After a tasty lunch in Chau Doc, you’ll visit the colorful Tay An Pagoda, the burial place of the much venerated Buddhist master Doan Minh Huyen who founded the sect of Buu Son Ky Huong and made a profound influence on the locals. The pagoda also boasts a large collection of priceless statues and figurines.
The sightseeing experience in Chau Doc continues! You’ll be driven out of town to Tra Su flooded forest. In Tra Su, you’ll be treated to a very scenic boat ride to explore the protected nature and for bird encounters. Watch swarms of birds flying back to the natural park by sunset. Finally you will be driven back to town to spend the night.
Day 3
Chau Doc - HCM City (B/L)
