The Mekong Delta, often referred to as “the rice bowl of Vietnam,” is the country’s most fertile region and a major producer of both rice and tropical fruits. Your journey begins with a drive south to the riverside town of My Tho, accompanied by your guide and private vehicle.

Upon arrival, you will visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, My Tho’s most renowned Buddhist monument, adorned with beautiful statues and sculptures. The pagoda’s garden features impressive and charming statues of the Happy Buddha, Guanyin, and the Reclining Sakyamuni.

Following a brief transfer, you will arrive at the tourist wharf on the banks of the My Tho River, one of the nine tributaries of the Mekong River in the Delta. Here, you will board a motorboat to cross over to Thoi Son island, where a walking tour awaits through the island’s lush orchards and vibrant cottage industries. This visit offers a glimpse into local life, culminating in a traditional musical performance.

Next, you will board a wooden sampan for a serene, scenic ride through the narrow, palm-shaded canals, bathed in the soft afternoon sunlight. Upon reaching the riverbank, you will be picked up and transported back to the city.
