Day 2 - Phong Nha - Hue (Breakfast & Lunch Included)

On this day, you will continue your exploration of the karst landscape with a visit to Thien Duong Cave. True to its name, which translates to “paradise” or “heavenly,” this cave features an expansive interior and a stunning array of speleothems, including remarkable stalactites. After experiencing the awe-inspiring beauty of Thien Duong Cave, you will begin your journey back to Hue.

The drive will be punctuated by a stop at Ben Hai River and the DMZ memorial (120 kilometers), historically significant as the 17th Parallel, which demarcated the wartime demilitarized zone between North and South Vietnam. The old steel bridge here serves as a monument, with each half painted in a different color. You will have time to photograph this landmark before continuing your journey towards Hue.

Before reaching Hue, you will visit the pottery village of Phuoc Tich. This charming, 500-year-old village offers a serene atmosphere, with its quiet lanes and traditional houses well-preserved. You will have the opportunity to explore a local home and visit a display hall where the villagers showcase their rich tradition of pottery making, a craft passed down through generations.

Lastly, you’ll travel the remaining 40 km distance to reach Hue (100km).
